Dr. Chris Railey
Dr. Chris Railey, Senior Director, Center for Leadership and Church Development of the Assemblies of God
As the senior director of the Center for Leadership and Church Development, Dr. Chris Railey is focused on uniting the efforts of the multiple AG departments and ministry layers that contribute to resourcing ministers, church planting, and leadership groups across the Assemblies of God. This includes areas such as Church Multiplication Network, Hispanic Relations, Ethnic Fellowships, AG Coaching, Women in Ministry, Center for Holy Lands Studies, Alliance for Higher Education, as well as Influence Magazine and Roundtable events.
Railey comes to the NLRC with a rich AG heritage and proven experience in church leadership. A graduate of Evangel University and AG Theological Seminary, he joined the staff of The Oaks Fellowship in Red Oak, Texas (about 20 miles south of Dallas), and was responsible for transitioning The Oaks Masters Commission to The Oaks School of Leadership.
At the recommendation of Railey's pastor, Scott Wilson, the North Texas District appointed Railey as pastor of New Community Church in Mesquite, Texas (about 14 miles east of Dallas), a church The Oaks helped parent. Under his leadership, the church experienced rapid growth and significantly impacted the community.
Chris graduated from Evangel University with a B.A. in biblical studies, and went on to receive his M.A. in counseling, a master’s of divinity, and a doctorate of ministry in organizational leadership from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
Railey and his wife, Cara, have three boys — Cannon, Cooper and Caleb.
